Thanks again for this sobering analysis and the links. I have long tried to raise the issue with digital twins. Last year, I was even invited to write a letter to a prestigious journal. I needed to wait, until a certain article appeared. Meanwhile, things escalated elsewhere (I have no organization behind me and no job) and I needed to focus on other URGENT things. Then, too much time had passed.
